how to assess present volume in SAP XI / PI 7.0 for SAP license assessment

The licensing structure for SAP XI/PI 7.0 is as per data being transferred by communication channels in GB. We would like to know how much is our data volume. How we can know from ABAP or java stack how much of data are we using?
