Product costing and delivery costs

Dear Guru,

I have the following question. I'm going to create a new cost component structure valid from 01012024. In this new cost component, I will manage 3 new cost component elements related to different freight condition. In valuation variant customizing, I setup delivery cost and I assigned these 3 new cost component elements to new origin group. Customer doesn't want to change the costing variant for standard cost calculation. That means if I create a standard cost in 2023, the system should read the old cost component structure, if I create a standard cost starting from 01012024, the system should read the new one.

My issue is that in delivry costs customizing I'm not able to differentiate the assignment of two origin group to the same condition type based on a date. The only way to have this kind of difference is to use 2 different valuation variant but I'm not able to assign two different valuation variant to the same costing variant based on 2 different years.

Is there any way to use the same costing variant but differentiate the delivery costs depending on the standard cost calculation?

Thanks

Regards

Raffaele
