SAP Fiori Front-end server, transfer ABAP back-end USERS

HI

I have search trough many fiori front end server blogs, but unfortunately i need more disambiguation about users in front-end server. I have an ABAP Back-end with around 500 users, in order to run fiori launchpad we have installed front-end gateway machine and prepare communication between 2 servers using Trusted RFC.

My question is how can i possibly transfer my users to front-end server? do i need to create all of them manually? i have tried CUA already, but since it is not possible to add Role to users in front-end server with CUA scenario, i need to know what is the standard way to prepare access to launchpad in front-end server for existing users in ABAP back-end?

Regards,

ALI.

    Hi Ahmed,

As a matter of fact, we solve the issue by developing a small report which transports user to a transport request. unfortunately, i am not familiar with ABAP development but as far as our Fiori consultant admit this method so we asked our developer and he has done the task. indeed i believe you can find sample code for this problem in SCN as well.

    Update:

It is also possible to copy users from one instance to another or one client to another using CLIENT COPY process and copy profile SAP_USER, but you must be aware of roles and authorization which transfer with users as well.

    Hope this helps,

    Regards,

    ALI.
