Hello,
I would like to implement an enhancement: Inspection of the material during outbound delivery before PGI.
Let me know if this is possible and what suggestions you might have:
Picker will pick the material, and in SAP, the material will be systematically placed in 916 awaiting for confirmation order. The enhancement feature here will be on the added on an RF scanner. This will replicate the picking where the picker: 1. scans bin location, scans material, scans batch # and inputting the quantity. What is added here is a quantity verification: total number of pieces in a box * total boxes = full quantity. (Ex. if the delivery is asking for 36 kits, there are 6 kits in one box, and there are 6 total boxes. 6 kits in one box * 6 total boxes = 36 kits. The assigned QC will input 6 and 6 to equal to 36, if his/her count does not match the asking quantity of the delivery, it will give a hard stop.)
Validations:
The picker cannot do the QC inspection. The validation here is that the QC inspection must be done by a different user. If the picker tries to do a QC, it will give a hard stop alerting user to have another person do the QC.
Another validation here is: PGI cannot be performed unless the QC inspection is completed.
Is this possible?
If it is possible, what changes can be made that will allow this? How can i have the material blocked once its picked , and the TO cannot be confirmed unless the QC inspection is complete. Once QC inspection is complete, the block will be removed and the TO can be confirmed. What can trigger this? Maybe add a new stock stock category status?
Where can the block happen?
- In Sales order, maybe add a delivery block?
-How about for STO, how can this be blocked just like sales order?
