Mass Approve in Workflow

Hello All,

We are using FI Payment release workflow.

In Business workplace diffrent workitem create for diffrent release document.

Is it possible to Release all workitem at one strock?

Hello,

I came across your comments as I'm investigating use SAP workflow for one level of approval and both individual and mass approval need to be available with denial at an individual level only.

When you say "There is no (standard) solution to apply one approval result (e.g. "approved") to all workitems waiting"; can you advise if this is possible with customizing and how much customization would be involved?

Also we are still using SAP R/3 Release 4.6.C, is the multiple exectution feature possible in this release? Thanks in advance

Hello Aisling,

the multi-one-after-another-execution-feature is defenitly available since 4.5B or even prior.

The general problem that you've described is not solvable through customizing.

Instead you had to build-up some kind of new report or transaction that select all corresponding workitems for the user's current worklist and that sets the overall-result to all workitems (e.g. using workflow API).

This kind of report would be like a self-made worklist for this specific approval (workflow).

It shouldn't be <i>that much</i> effort to program such kind of thing.

Hello Amisha,

you can use the multiple execution:

In SAP Business Workplace mark all workitems that you'd like to execute (by dragging the mouse over the different workitems while holding the mouse key pressed).

Then press the "execute" button.

This executes all workitems one-after-another w/o going back to the worklist again.

There is no (standard) solution to apply one approval result (e.g. "approved") to all workitems waiting.
