I am not able to access the username when application is deployed on device. It works when running as a web application. Can anyone help me with a detailed document on how i can work that out as i am a beginner in the SAP UI5 development.

In hcpms you would need the app set to use the security configuration form. You would also need another connection defined in the hcpms app defined to provided access to the service, this could just point to a deployed version of the app. Alternatively if you are not using form based auth then the username may be available in the appContext returned by hcpms, appContext.registrationContext.user

Jamie
