Challenges in OSA Appraisal model.

Hi,

We r implementing OSA(obj settings and Appraisal) model for Perfonramance Appraisal Process in our company. The technical challenges we r facing r...

· An Appraisal Form needs to be released before it can be used. Once released and used, the form cannot be modified anymore. This may cause some issues if there are changes in the form.

· The Part Appraiser ratings cannot be hidden from Appraisee view. This is a system constraint on the part appraisal column. ( note : the whole column can be hidden..but we want to hide one field only.)

· When creating new forms, to check the possibility to restrict the form selection. There are no standard functionality provided by SAP. Customisation may be explored if this is possible.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Jothi.

Hello Jothi,

1. This is per design, you can copy and paste the old template in a new one and make your changes there.

If we would allow changes in a released template it would cause false and inconsistent document data.

2. This is possible with ERP2005

3. Can be easy be achieved with authorization object HAP_DOCUMENT, see the service marketplace. There you can find a document on the subject.

My client has been using an Appraisal template since last year and now they want some changes in the existing one without losting the previous records. Is it possible to copy the template along with the records ? Yes it wud lead to inconsistent document data as we hav changed the template ?

Is any std way to download the upload the records?

Hi Jothi

You copy the the old template in the catalog and then you set it to status "Archive" so it is not available for creating new appraisals but is still available to look at old documents.

Then you change the new template according to the requirements and release it.

Christian.
