How to know if Actual costing is active when Material Ledger is Active

Hi,

How do we know(in ECC & S4 1511) if Actual Costing is active (when Material Ledger is active) seeing a document (Eg : pop-up document when clicked on FI document in MIGO transaction) Not able to attachscreen shot.

Hi,

You can check material ledger and actual costing activation parameters & customizations via transaction code CKM9.

On the other hand if you click on "FI Documents" in MIGO > Document Info tab, you can see also Material Ledger line at the list of documents. This means ML is active.

By the way you can reach material price analysis by using material ledger document line in MIGO, and in material price analysis (CKM3N) by opening "Prices and Inventory Values" tab you can see "Price Determination" as single-/Multilevel, it means you are using actual costing in theory.

That's why SAP recommends that "If you want to work with multi-level price determination in the Actual Costing/ Material Ledger component, you must set 'Update Actual Costing' so that the actual quantity structure is updated."
