Registered product created unnecessarily

Hello,

I have noticed abnormal behavior when receiving serialized products in SAP Business ByDesign.

When I make an input error and correct it, the correction is not taken into account for the creation of the registered product, resulting in an unnecessary registered product being generated.

Here are the exact steps to reproduce this issue:

  1. Go to Inbound Logistics / Purchase orders.
  2. Select a Purchase Order ID where there is a product with a mandatory serial number, and click on "Post Goods Receipt."
  3. In the "Next Serial Number" field, enter a serial number and click "Enter" to validate.
  4. Click on the "Remove" button for this serial number, enter another serial number, and click "Enter" to validate.
  5. Save and close this Inbound Delivery and Goods Receipt document.
  6. Go to the menu "Service Entitlements / Registered Products."
  7. Search for the first serial number, and then for the second serial number.

You will find that the two products were created in this menu, even though we only entered one product in the receipt of this purchase order.

I have opened a ticket regarding this issue, but the support team has confirmed to me that it is normal behavior. However, it appears to be a bug to me. I am surprised that this problem has not been confirmed earlier, considering the existence of this product.
