SAP HANA Amazon instance memory upgrade

Dear CAL support,

I used the SAP S/4 HANA 1610 Fully activated CAL Solution with r3.8xlarge instance (32 cores, 244GB memory).

I would like to install new components on this system which should need quite more memory.

Is it possible to request more memory (up to 500GB) on this r3.8xlarge instance ?

Hello Sylvain,

As of today the instance resize is not supported in SAP CAL. In theory you could do it via the AWS console but it will be on your own risk. For sure the cost forecast in SAP CAL will not detect the new size.

My CAL instance is unlocked, fully licensed and running.

My question was about upgrading the memory available on my AWS instance in perspective of installing a new component on it.
