Why my user is different in CRM GUI and CRM UI?

I'm logging to CRM UI via Logon Screen with user X.

When i debug a call from the UI the Sy-uname is Y.

Is there a config where the user is changed?

You might want to clarify what "debug a call from the UI" means exactly. If there is some kind of remote call involved then it may be the user ID used to establish connection.

And why not simply ask someone locally? I'd imagine a team member who has done this already or a local admin would be able to answer this much more easily that a global website with very limited information.

1. Need you provide more details. How you set breakpoint, from which URL, which page you are debugging and when the breakpoint stops, etc.

2. 'From UI', please check the CRM UI you access, if the CRM UI is integrated with portal. Sometimes, portal user and CRM user might be different.

3. Also, after you access business role, please check in SAPGUI: T-code SM04, if there is one more(non-ic business role) or two more(for IC business role) HTTP sessions appear. If yes, what's the userid for them?
