Korean PDF files

Hi,

Has anyone used the FM SO_OBJECT_SEND to send PDF files in Korean langauge as attachments.

I could only see junk characters in the PDF file. Tried even downloading the latest Acrobat reader.

I used the FM CONVERT_OTF to get the PDFformat(I even tried all the FM's that can convert OTF to PDF)

The issue seems to be the output device type. As far as I know, if we give OTF_MEM as the device at the time of OPEN_FORM, SAP uses SCREEN as a device type to format a form. SCREEN only has one font: COURIER. Is this causing the issue?

Even tried RSTXPTFT( PDF download test) by downloading korean standard texts. There too i could see only junk characters.

Please reply if anyone has encountered the same issue.

Note: The above issue does'nt occur for Japanese PDFs

Thanks,

Vinay Reddy

1)At the Operating system level install the korean language.[Control panel - >Regional and language Option - >language Tab - > Click on Install Files for East Asian languages] If these language already installed then click on Detail and add the korean languages 2) At SAP level click on Customizing of Local layout[Alt+F12] and click on options.Go to tab I18N and click on Activate the multi-byte functionalities to support check box.

3<b>).Take care of the Font while assigning to Character formar or paragraph format. Dont use normal font name. Example of chinese phone "CNSONG".
