When we try to refresh our production transport queue, it is not picking up the transports from our QA system.
We have tried copying the files manually but it is still not showing up in the queue.
We have checked the transport config. and it looks the same has it has been. We haven't made any changes.
We have rebooted the system also, but still the same.
Does anyone have any ideas?
thanks so much.
Marie
Try removing the existing...and redefine the whole STMS again...and make sure give the files sap owner..and full permission

Hello Juan,
Please ignore the OSS note 490010 . This is not related to your issue. Got confused with something else.
Check the second one.

Hello Juan,
Thanks for this. Check the OSS note 490010 for this issue. Implementing it may solve the issue.
Also check the OSS note 816997 in case the Kernel Upgrade has been done recently though it may not be the actual solution.
I also hope that you don't have a virtual system between your QA and production system. If it is there then it adds another dimension to the issue.
Please award points in case my answers were of real help.
Regards.

Hello Marie,
Please let us know if there are entries for your production system in the TMS Alert Viewer . For this go to STMS. Choose any of the systems (production is preferable). Then please goto MENU BAR and choose GOTO>TMS Alerts->TMS Alerts Viewer. Those entries might indicate a thing or two.
Regards.

Have you tried importing the specific transport number?
STMS > Import Overview (F5) > Select Queue name > Extras > Other requests > Add
It has been released??

Have you upgraded the Kernel recently?
Can you run the check on the system to make sure the path's okay?
STMS > Overview > SAP System > CHeck > Connection Test/Transport Direcotry/Transport Toolcheck??
The number of old transports shouldn't make a difference.
Is there anything different on the transport? It wasn't saved as Local or anything like that?
Hi Barry,
Im working with Marie ....
Have you upgraded the Kernel recently?
Yes... Kernel is up to date
Can you run the check on the system to make sure the path's okay?
Path is ok, reachable via AL11 and OS
STMS > Overview > SAP System > CHeck > Connection Test/Transport Direcotry/Transport Toolcheck??
All fine.
Is there anything different on the transport? It wasn't saved as Local or anything like that?
Nothing have been changed on the transport route, what do you mean by saved as local???

The problem is that when we try to refresh the queue it just hangs.... (you can see the clock), same happen if i try to add a transport manually... it always stay in "Copying import queue PROD."
If i try to display the PROD queue from our QAS system it also hangs...
Any help will be very appreciated!
Regards

Hi Barry...

The problem is that we cant do anything with the PROD transport queue cause is not responding... any atempt to refresh, import or anything else end hanging...
Always when "Copying import queue PROD"

Hi Ruchit
In the TMS Alert viewer i can see only the errors generated from stopping the transaction, like:
RFC_SYSTEM FAILURE and BUFFER_IS_FAULTY
both as result of refresh or import cancellations.
