does anybody know how to create Taxonomy structure directly from recodes in repository ????

Hi Sheetal,

Currently, the only way to create a taxonomy structure is to manually create it using the MDM Data Manager in Taxonomy mode. You must create all your categories and attributes and then link the attributes to categories.

In SP04, release date Q3 2006, it is planned to have the ability to create the taxonomy structure from the MDM Import Manager using information from the data source you are importing.

Hi Sheetal

Even in MDM5.5 SP3, when I ahve worked with Retail informations, have extracted merchandise hierarchy information from SAP R/3 and have imported the same into MDM DataManager Repository where have chosed XML schema type related with Merchandise hierarchy.

When I have checked the same, the Taxonomy mode got all the category information with default attribute link.

This I used to do whenever I feel the taxonomy information is in disorder and want to make both SAP r/3 and MDM in sink.
