Create repeating label across page (like a return address sheet of labels)

Work in a hospital and we need patient labels to place on papers that will be later scanned to the electronic chart. So the same label for an individual patient should print across and down the sheet (currently using Avert 5351 which I don't see in Crystal but I could try making custom). I only get one label for the patient, and can't find a way to repeat it I see some Q&A about a formula to repeat it for a varying number of times, but mine isn't that complicated - just needs to repeat across the label sheet, as if as if you were printing multiple copies of a return address label for one company. I can't find a way to do this. I think this might be an older version (2011, developer version 14.0.2.364RTM). Any advice greatly appreciated.

How many copies of the label do you need to print at a time? How many columns of labels are on the sheet? How many rows?

Hi Dorren,

Open the report and Design mode and right click on the Detail section and then Section Expert.

You can check on a box to use multiple columns:

Then copy all objects you have and paste them to the right of the first set and continue pasting until you have as many copies that fits the paper.

Have fun

Thanks for that tip Don. I had originally set it up a bit like this but I didn't know about the 'format with multiple columns' options. I'll try that. I imagine it's much better than copying text boxes all over the page!

Currently I'm testing this with the label wizard, getting the top 30 so each will print the same data. This should allow me to make a change without having to edit each label. Still a work in progress. Thanks again.

The Avery 5153 label sheet is 3 across, 11 labels down (portrait mode). The first 3 labels (top row) are a variation because they are for the wrist band rather than the chart label. On the three for the wrist band, we leave some fields off, and make the name display larger.
