Issue with one dimension (commitment item) in live connection with S/4 HANA

Hi,

We build a live report in SAC connected to S/4 HANA. We used a copy of CDS C_FundsMgmtBdgtActlQuery. Everything is ok except with the dimension Commitment item. We are unable in SAC to filter on this dimension (filter screen shows no commitment item). In the report netherthless, we see list of commitment item and amount related to them. We have as well an issue when we want to select a hierarchy (existing in S/4 but not retrieved in SAC).

Cause

This issue is caused by a limitation in the product.

Resolution

• There is already an improvement request submitted where you can also vote up: Select hierarchy not available when using a dimension input control
• Workaround: Enable Activate Hierarchy Display for the dimension/characteristic in BW query.

It is not my issue. I didn’t create an input control I just can’t filter in SAC on that dimension. (Filter is empty)

Hi,

then you have to check first that the dimension or the selected hierarchy is no longer exists, or the dimension has a missing required hierarchy, or the dimension type has changed.

you have two issues in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) regarding the Commitment item dimension.

you can't filter the dimension because the filter screen doesn't show any commitment items, even though they appear in the report.

you're having trouble selecting a hierarchy from S/4 HANA that isn't appearing in SAC. These problems may be caused by data source configuration, authorization settings, or data synchronization.
