Transfer to BW exchange rates from a database table of a non-sap source system

Hi Guys,

In the project I am currently working on I have to load exchange rates from a non-SAP source system into BW.

It is a database of a non-SAP application to which we connect through DBCONNECT.

To transfer the exchange rates from BW you could use the standard functionality offered by sap for exchange rates, and which is discussed in this forum ?

Or is this functionality only used to upload exchange rates to an SAP ECC source system?
