Partner profiles for JJDBC to IDoc scenario

Hi all,

I am working on a JDBC to IDoc scenario. I have to create the partner profile to receive thr IDoc.

I want to know should i create two <b>partner profiles</b> (One on the XI side and one on the R/3 side). Also I am not clear about the <b>ports</b> and <b>RFc destinations</b> which I should be using for this communication.

Can anybody help me in this?

Divija,

Partner Profiles are always created on the R3 system.

In XI, you will have to create a port and RFC destination to send the IDOC using IDX1 and IDX2.

ofcourse , in your case, you will have to do the steps only for one half ,

Hi,

In XI

Create one RFC destination pointing to R/3

Create one port in IDX1 using the RFC destination.

In R/3

Create one RFC destination pointing to XI

Create a Port in We21 using this RFC destiantion.

Give the details in the Control records
