Email Trigger on Rejection in Flexi Workflow using Email Template

Hi Experts,

I have created the Flexi Workflow and my requirement is to trigger the email to remaining agents on Rejection using email template option. But when I reject the document, status remains as 'STARTED' due to which it doesn't identify the recipients for notifications. Please find below the code screeshot where it fails:

Hi Pratham,

please provide some background: On what release is your system? Are you using a pre-delivered Flexible Workflow Scenario? If yes, which one? What steps have you performed so far in order to enable Completion E-Mails?

It sounds like the workflow instance doesn't complete correctly. Can you confirm this? Please check the status in SWI1 after the rejection.

System is on S4 HANA 2021. No, I have created a custom workflow where I have defined in 'Manage Workflow' app on Reject action 'Do Nothing' and created the Notification on Workflow end use case with outcome ID as 'Reject' from 'Email Template' tab.

So when I rejected it from My inbox app, execution status remains 'Started' where workflow gets completed.

Ok, first of all I would check if the Workflow behaves as expected without the E-Mail notification. In this case, I doubt that. My first guess would be that in the exception handling section you selected "Do nothing" and "Continue". Correct would be "Do nothing" and "Cancel".

Once the Workflow behaves as expected, you can add the E-Mail notification and check if this works.

yes it is Do nothing and Cancel but still the notification doesn’t trigger bcs of above code. Moreover, workflow runs as expected there is no issue with the wor
