Concatenate 2 InfoObjects in the Query Designer for Display

Hello Colleagues,

I have 2 InfoObjects in my InfoCube "ID" & "Type". I would like to concatenate these 2 InfoObjects in the Query and show them as 1 field. While at the sametime I would not like to create a new InfoObject to store the concatenated value.

I have ....

ID , Type

-

100 , User

I would like to show it as 1 field in Query display....

Value

-

User : 1000

Is this possible with BEx Query Designer and how ?

Kind Regards,

priyadarshi

Hi,

I think you can do that by writing an exit.

Another option is by compounding these 2 objects.

Other easy option is doing it in a workbook.

You can try these options without using a new

infoobject.

I hope this will help you.

Hi,

If you are comfortable with ABAP you should consider virtual Characteristics. In that way you don't need to change your data model, as the compound will be done on the fly. Take a look at:

for more reference.

Other possibility is to use VBA to make the compound in the Bex Analyzer.
