I can not make delta load for some component of public sector management

Hello All:

I´am using these three data source 0PU_IS_PS_31, 0PU_IS_PS_32 and 0PU_IS_PS_42 and I realize that I can not make delta loads. When I make the full load everything is correct even when I made the delta, the problem is that the Delta load is not extracting any new data or changed data.

Do you have any idea to fix this issue?

Hello Victor,

As u have already tried the delta load,I assume that u have already done the init load too.As system will not allow u to do delta load without doing an init load first.

The first datasource u talked about..31..it needs new records created in table FMIOI table.

What happens is..if u run a delta load immediately after an init load,there might not be new or changed records created in the system..therefore there arent any records in the delta queue.

Could u try creating some commitment document transaction data,so that records get added in FMIOI table.Then see if the delta queue for this datasource shows any records.

Note that for 42 datasource..page says that delta update is not supported(though it does talk about updating delta queue).

For 32 datasource source tables are FMIFIIT and FMIFIHD.

For 42 datasource table is FMBDP.

Hello Vishvesh we are sure that there are new records in the system because we are working in productive. I am going check the links you send me. As you said I already done the init load and the monitor said that the init and delta load is correct.

Victor,

can you tell us the messages in monotir screen. check the details tab page? you need analyze the details messages. as you said... you have init and delta equests in the data targets. delete the failed request from the data target and request for the data again i mean repeat delta. in order to do repeat delta... there should not be any successful delta after the failed request. try to analyze the details tab.

Victor,

is the request in monitor green or Red. can you check in Details Tab page of the RSMO screen. In RSMO we have 3 tab pages(header, status and Details). If ther load is failed, you could see in the details tab exapnd the node for the failed package. see the log. you will get better idea. if you provide the messages we can look into it. Load can be failed for several reasons. if you go through the details tab page messages we will get the information why it is failed.

That is the problem, the monitor is green everything is correct there is no a error. But the system is not extracting any data new.

Can you check in RSA3 of the Source System. Check OSS notes mentioned by AHP also.

Please check the data in RSA3 in the source system for delta records.

Check the values in Delta Queue... whether any entries posted into delta queue.

Hi Victor,

Did you enable the delta settings in Customizing? If settings are not enabled, you can setup the delta datasource OK and it will appear in RSA7, but no records will show up in the Delta-Q.

Verify setting in SPRO -> PSM -> Funds Management -> Information System -> Activate/Deactivate Delta Update for BW.

Hi Victor,

I'm not sure where you are looking. Can you provide more details? This is customizing in R/3 (not BW). Your path in SPRO (and IMG) may be a bit different than ours, but I would expect there should be a PSM branch?

If you are in production, you probably can't access the IMG.

Hi Raj,

Yes, box is checked if you want to enable the delta capability of the DataSource. It seems like it asks a question that does not make sense once you check the box and go to save it, although I can't remember what it is? Once enabled, the box stays checked.

SAP indicated this configuration step for PSM was missing from their documentation but they were going to put it in. It might be there now?

Thanks for quick reply. In my case most of the datasources when you see in RSA6, i can see them as delta (PS_31,32,33,41,11) But datasources PU_IS_PS_42,43 and 2 dont show as delta do do i check boxes for all the datasources or just these three?

Hi Raj,

PS_2 is not delta enabled.

I show 11, 31, 32, 33, 41, 42, 43 as available to check (in IMG) in our system. These are also installed datasources (check RSA6 or SBIW to be sure they are installed for you).

I would only check the sources in IMG you want to use.

check the monitor log? did your initialize delta succes. check for short dumps in the source system. check the details tab page of the monitor.
