JDBC Driver for MS SQL 2005 ?

Hi all,

the SAP Guide Install drivers for JDBC describes the installation of the oracle, microsoft and IBM MQ drivers. According to the guide for MS the three files: msbase.jar, mssqlserver.jar and msutil.jar are necessary. I found these files under microsoft download only for SQL 2000. The latest version SQL 2005 contain only the file sqljdbc.jar. So the SAP guide seems to be out of date. I want to connect to SQL2005 DB with JDBC. Could I use JDBC driver 2000 instead of the 2005 ? Is there a new SAP guide available ?

If you are trying to connect to SQL server 2005 and you have the driver available, just go ahead and install the driver in your XI server. Just make sure that you remove the old drivers from your XI server.

To install drivers on your XI server, checkl this doc,
