How to view all TECO notifications with entered date and complete date, sorted by complete date

Hello. I would like to view a list of all recently completed maintenance notifications that have been TECO in a report or excel file that shows a few things such as the original notification date, the TECO date, notification number with some details and I would like to sort the list descending by TECO date. I'm a beginner to intermediate user. I'd like to track notifications on when they are closed. I currently use IW28 (I think) and chose my dates with the "completed" box checked. Then I get my display, but I have been using and sorting by REF DATE as my makeshift TECO date but it is not accurate. SO basically I'd like to change REF DATE for TECO date or the date when hte notificaiton was closed. Thanks

Thank you all for the comments. I'll try all these out. Another person at work also suggested to sort by change date since closing items is likely the last occurrence that happens. Good old SAP, many ways to get to the end point. It's clear there are so many "dates" to work with.

Hi Scott,

Notification date and reference date may not give you the actual results what you are looking for as these two dates can are editable during creation of notification and while closing the notification. The below fields will give the correct results

1. "Created on" and "Created at" fields will give you exact date and time when notification was created

2. "Completion by" date and "Completion Time" will give you exact date and time when notification got closed.

First of all a Notification is Completed (Status NOCO). A Work Order is set to TECO (Technically Complete).

In IW28 there are fields for you to use.

  • Created on
  • Completion by date

Once you add these to your list the dates will be populated when the Noti was created and closed. If the Noti is not closed the Completion field is blank so make sure you select the Completed checkbox at the top.

Thanks I'll have a look at this. One co-worker suggested to use IW39 (i think and if I remember correctly) to get all the system status so I can see the TECO ones, export it, use a spreadsheet to remove everything except the TECO ones, then copy all the notifications into the IW28....then sort by dates. I think because you cant see when the TECO was done in IW39. I'm not at my PC so I do need to do some research.

The issue I'm seeing is TECO dates and NOCO dates are not lining up all the time. It's fairly close but there are the odd ones the dates aren't the same.

Hi,

From IW28 we can get the details of Notification outstanding(OSNO), Notification In-progress(NOPR) and Notification Completed(NOCO)

In IW28 for notification outstanding and notification in-progress, the Basic date means: the date at which Notification created.

If the notification completed means, the Reference date is used as the date at which Notification completed.

Once the notification is completed, the complete date is stored as reference date in IW28.

In your situation, If you want to get the details of Notification complete (NOCO) means, set Check mark the Notification complete and then enter the reference date(required notification completion date range) and execute the report, you will get the required output.

Thanks & Regard
