Hi All,
What authorization checks are disabled when I remove authorization check for a change request step. Using IMG Activity "Configure properties of Change Request Step"
Hi,
Normally when requestors raise a MDG CR to extend a material from Plant to another plant, both plants being located in different countries, then business do not expect users to have authorization to modify data pertaining to other plants. So always the authorization check is performed for the plant to which the requestor tries to extend. If we disable this check then all users irrespective of the authorization they have will be able to modify the data for all plants. This is what I understand from this "Authorization Check". I hope this is of some help for you.
Thanks,
Hi,
I also understood and expected the same results after removing Authorization check, but surprisingly it did not happen. If I do not have authorization for plant XXXX I am unable to extend the same. Therefore it is still a question for me.

Hi Swathi,
It is used to check user authorities to allow master data change. By default system considers ERP authorization checks but you can override it with MDG specific using define authorization relevence per entity type under data model.
Thanks
What I understood from your answer is that, along with removing Authorization Check at CR Step level, I also need to deactivate Authorization from Reuse Active Area for Material as shown below. Please confirm if this is correct understanding.
