Read PDF string

Hello Experts,

I developed an app using restful ABAP on BTP where, by clicking on a custom button on the list report, I am calling a RFC function module in the on-premise system which would return back a PDF string. Wanted to know if there is any way we could read that PDF string and open that PDF file on the front end for the user.

Please advise.
