Alerts are not being emailed

Hi All,

I have setup and alert based on a query. The query has a result and it sends internally (can see the results in the Message/Alert overview.)

But its is not being emailed. The job service is running as well as service layer.

This is the error in the log file:

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Attached SAP Note 2340580 contains a power shell script which simply tests the connection to the SMTP.

Change "testmail@gmail.com" to the email you are using in mailer, "smtp.gmail.com" to your SMTP and use the correct password in "$SMTPClient.Credentials".
Make sure the port number is also correct .

This script will bypass any mailer protocols and simply check that your credentials are able to connect to the SMTP and send a text email.

Make sure the Test Connection to your SMTP succeeds and that the PowerShell test from the above note works.
