Emarsys Account Engagement API Monitoring/Calls

Hi Experts,

is there a way to monitor the API Calls that are made to Emarsys?

In Sales Cloud I have the OData API Monitor and can see the different calls that are made by Account Engagement Data Integration Service. It would be great to have the same possibility for Emarsys.

If that's not possible, does anyone know if Contacts are always updated with a full update?

So, if there's a field change for Contact Person in Sales Cloud (e.g. date of birth), then only the birthday field is updated in Emarsys or the whole contact with all fields that are available in Account Engagement Data Integration Service?

Kind Regards

Tobias

Hi Tobias,

That is correct. Unfortunately, we don't have a monitoring tool that shows the user the exact payloads from the specific API requests.

If you just want to see the reference payloads, you can certainly take a look at the public API endpoints and the associated sample payloads. But I understand very well that this is not really what you are looking for. Please feel free to submit an influencer request.

Kind Regards,
Lara

Hi Tobias,
Are you familiar with our Integration Monitor? It provides you with various information about the current replication run from your SAP Sales Cloud source system into the SAP Account Engagement Data Integration Service as well as import runs into your Emarsys target system.

Any changes to replicated entities as well as additionally added entities are covered by the delta replication runs.

Regarding your example, with the change of the date of birth on the contact. In this case, the entire business object 'contact' is picked up.

Kind Regards,
Lara

Hi Lara,

yes, we use the Integration Monitor for monitoring the standard integration between Sales Cloud and Emarsys.

But in the Integration monitor protocol I can only see the source (C4C or Emarsys), the entity (e.g. Contact), the status, the start date, the duration and the processed count of entities of the replication run.

But I can't see the specific API call that is done when the Contact is updated in Emarsys.

In C4C OData API Monitor, I can see exactly the request and response payloads.

I assume there's nothing like that in Emarsys? If that's the case, I would open an improvement request.

Thanks also for answering second question 🙂
