MD11 - Create planned order including discontinued BOM component

Hello Everyone,

I have this scenario where in we have a discontinued BOM component hat has a follow up material.

MPS run - generates planned order, used the follow-up material. (correct output)

MD11 - when we do manual creation of pld ord. MD11 still uses the discontinued component. (incorrect output)

Question:

Since the user is using Manual Creation, Is this a standard limitation of MD11? It does not recognize the discontinued component.

This is in SAP ECC. The discontinued material does not have stock or PO.
