I have tried restarting the PC as well as tried to uninstall and reinstall the program. No change.

Hi Lauren

CR 2011 is not supported on Windows 11, could be part of the problem. Lots of Windows updates that CR 2011 is not aware of.

FYI - I believe MFC71U.DLL still requires VC 2005 C++ runtime and not installed on Windows 11, that version is end of life.

As Dell suggested to get Windows 11 support upgrade to CR 2020.

Hi Don,

Thank you for your response! We had actually started with CR 2020 but had so many issues with 100s of reports in excel so that is why we ended up switching to 2011. Looks like I will have to figure out the DSN workaround or look at a different type of reporting software.

Thank you,

-Lauren

Crystal 2011 is 32-bit software. You need to have the 32-bit Excel drivers installed in order to open Excel files in this version of Crystal. I suspect that you have the 64-bit version of MS Office installed You have two options:

1. Upgrade to Crystal 2020, which is 64-bit.

2. See SAP KB Article 2574647, which discusses this situation and includes links for information about how to install the 64-bit and 32-bit Excel drivers side-by-side - It's not a straight-forward install.

Hi Dell,

Thank you- I was wondering about the drivers. I did go through and switch to all 32-bit drivers and unfortunately I am still having the same issue. Any other ideas?

Thank you!
