Shipment Variant - delivery not assigned

In EHP7 for SAP ERP 6.0, and I've created a variant in VT01N to only show the outbound delivery selection criteria. I've set this variant as default using SU3, as I do not have authorization for SU01. When I enter the delivery number and execute, the delivery shows up under "deliveries not assigned," instead of getting assigned to the shipment. When I do not use my variant, the delivery is automatically assigned to the shipment. How can I get the delivery to automatically get assigned to the shipment while using the shipment variant?

Hi,

while defining shipment types in custo, you can create and assign a selection variant (check block data "proposal"). Your selection variant has somewhere a check that allows to include deliveries in the shipment.
