How to alter column data type in SAP HANA Database Explorer?

Hi,

I am using SAP HANA Database Explorer and I have a table within a container. One of the columns is of type VARCHAR(20) and I need to change it to VARCHAR(80).

Could you please suggest the SQL query that I need to run in the SQL console so I can perform the change?

I tried using the the classic SQL "ALTER", but it didn't seem to work, I keep getting errors.
