Hi Pooja,
Thanks for your quick response.I have understood what your stated, however I am not getting the way how the field/table "Match Rate/match type" will appear in Destination hierarchy.
Is it by adding the field in xml file (ie editing the file directly)generated which generated through running the report
or
I need to make changes in the report(ie for adding the field/table)?

Joe.

Hi Joe,
Match Rate and Type are the fields that you would need to create in the repository. It is a part of the design using Console. Only then will the fields appear in the destination in the Import Manager.
In the source, that is your XML, you will have to create a dummy (NULL) field which would then be mapped to the repository's Match Rate field.
This should work.

Hi Pooja,
Your document is really helpful. However, I have stucked up in creating the import maps.I do know how to assign the certain weights to fields for checking out the duplicates. What I want to know is how to make the import maps and then depending on the result how to select the action ie create/update etc.
It will be really helpful if you can throw some light on that.
Regards,
Joe.

Hi Joe,
You have to create your various Import Maps based upon your matching rules.
In the Import Manager you need to have a dummy field (possibly NULL) in your source which needs to be mapped to the Destination "Match Rate" field.
Once the field mapping is done, go to Value mapping and set the NULL value of the field to the match rate value(i.e. the weight) by editing the Converted Value grid (which would be map specific, refer Match rules).
Now based on the Matching Rule used, select the combined matching fields in Match Records Tab during the import. Here select "Update null fields only" for multiple match type.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Pooja
