Solman upgrade guide - steps clarification for MP

Hello ,

As per the upgrade guide below and from section 5.2.2 do we still need to follow the procedure described and create the dependency while upgrading solman from SP12 to SP16 ? Below is the link for it .

Since you are upgrading solution manager 7.2 SP12 to SP16, it is not needed to follow the 7.1 upgrade to 7.2 SP9 steps you highlighted.
