Mail Adapter with Oauth 2.0 to Microsoft Office 365 fails during authentication

Hi,

I hope someone can help

Our SAP mail adapter connects to URL imaps://outlook.office365.com:993/

We are using OAUTH and have the OAuth token generated and the all the tenant ID and client secret generated along with the Azure AD configuration.

This set up was working perfectly great since sep 2022 till Jan 23 2023 but from Jan 24 onwards, the connection is not successful to the mail account

The SAP PI mail adapter fails

The OAuth user account has full access to the mailbox

There has been no change at our end and SAP confirmed that there has been no update by them

The real runtime error is:

Exception caught during processing mail message; java.io.IOException: unexpected login response; read 001F NO LOGIN failed

This error indicates that for some reason the Microsoft Azure AD does not allow the login. It was mentioned by SAP to follow note 3267439 - Mail Adapter with Oauth 2.0 to Microsoft Office 365 fails during authentication:

The issue is caused by too low polling interval configured at Microsoft application side.

The polling interval has to be increased at Microsoft side to be more than 10 minutes.

Can please someone guide me on where this polling interval is configured?

Then i can ask my colleague to check.

Please help

Regards,

Archana
