SAP Web IDE for SAP HANA part of S/4HANA 2021 appliance?

Hi all,

it's not clear to me if "SAP Web IDE for SAP HANA" is part of the "SAP S/4HANA 2021 Fully-Activated Appliance". In the documentation of this appliance from SAP CAL it's not mentioned and I don't know which URL to use for starting. Or is there a manual installation required and if yes which one? SAP t's not

I followed this troubleshooting guide for the installation:
https://help.sap.com/docs/SAPWEBIDE/5a2f3e85fa1a4eb891ab209d10d73a2e/f2f5aaf19db94e828fd09b2b559acbb...

On OS-level the command "xs" is not found but I'm not sure if this Command Line Tool has to be installed manually.
SAP Hana Studio (Eclipse) is working fine, also SAP Fiori on S/4Hana in the Broswer.
Is there another easier way to find out how if the Web IDE is installed?

Link to the appliance: https://cal.sap.com/console/tenant_FM7Z6MRQFNIX#/applianceTemplates/3f4931de-b15b-47f1-b93d-a4267296...

Thanks a lot for a hint!

Hello Jörg,

thanks for the quick answer. So my follow up question: Is it possible to use "SAP Business Application Studio for HANA developments" togother with this appliance and if yes how? Otherwise for Hana modelling one would have to use the SAP Hana Studio in Eclipse for which the deprecation has already been announced by SAP.

Viele Grüße,
Andreas

Hello Andreas,

the WebIDE on HANA (and the XSA component) is not installed by default, but you probably could do it on your own (not really tested by us and assuming that you can download the sources from SAP).

Best, Joerg
