Making a field mandatory in Material master based on a value enter on another field

My requirement is to make a field(MVKE-MVGR3) mandatory when another field(MVKE-PRAT5 as checkbox) field is checked in the Material Master(MM01 and MM02) transactions, how to make this work?

I have checked on SDN but all the responses are to make a field mandatory statically, my requirement is more dynamic? Can this be solved via configuration or is it more of a development scenario.
