The inconsistency could cause problems when new tables are created. It may additionally lead to incorrect free space requirements.
We highly recommend that you fix the entries listed above and repeat the check. For more information, see SAP Note 541542.
Repeat the Check
Ignore the Inconsistency
I tried to follow the notes 541542 and 46272 but i am getting confussion on notes can any one tell me the steps how to adjust these DB container in table space waiting for the reply.
Thanks and Regards.
Raju
Hi,
Don't know which SUM version you are using. See for example note
2426160 - DB6: Add. Info - Software Update Manager 1.0 SP20
According to this note the error can be ignored.

10. SUM stops in phase INIT_CNTRANS_PRE for systems with Tablespace Pools
If your system is using tablespace pools, phase INIT_CNTRANS_PRE may incorrectly return an "Info about inconsistencies in your system".
Example (for a system with SID = 'D62'):
INFO: The program has detected an inconsistency in your system:
The following entries in table 'TADB6' do not represent existing DB containers: [TABART, DBSPACE]
APPL0 D62#DATA{20}
[...]
USER1 D62#DATA{20}
The following entries in table 'IADB6' do not represent existing DB containers: [TABART, DBSPACE]
APPL0 D62#DATA{20}
[...]
USER1 D62#DATA{20}
Release '740' missing in table container 'D62#DATA{20}' for tabart 'SLDEF'!
[...]
Release missing in index container 'D62#DATA{20}' for tabart 'SSEXC'!
Container pair 'D62#DIMD'/'D62#DIMI' for tabart 'DDIM' not identical.
Container pair 'D62#FACTD'/'D62#FACTI' for tabart 'DFACT' not identical.
Container pair 'D62#ODSD'/'D62#ODSI' for tabart 'DODS' not identical.
The inconsistency could cause problems when new tables are created. It may additionally lead to incorrect free space requirements.

For systems using tablespace pools, this is no inconsistency and thus wrongly reported. Use option "Ignore the inconsistency" to continue with the upgrade.

Hi Raju,
we're just facing the same problem here while upgrading from ehp6 to ehp8.
While system copy with SWPM SP20 we were asked for the tablespice pool size.
We went forward with the suggested 20 and the 20 tablespaces were implemented (<SID>#DATAnn{I|D|L} with nn from 01 to 20).
But in table TADB6 and IADB6 we find now TABART like seen above and TABSPACE at 17 of 20 always <SID>#DATA{20}.
For me this looks like a SWPM error...
Any solutions? How did you resolve the problem?
Kind regards,
Manfred

Hi all,
got a solution from our Application Support:
Please have a look for SAP-Note 2326264 "DB6: Add. Info - Software Update Manager 1.0 SP18"
"... For systems using tablespace pools, this is no inconsistency and thus wrongly reported. Use option "Ignore the inconsistency" to continue with the upgrade." 🙂
Regards,
Manfred
Hi Raju,
TADB6 and IADB6 contains the name of the tablespace/index and the TABART they are assigned to.. seems like your tables are not populated correctly, this could have happened for many reasons.
You need to have an entry for each existing tablespace, the step is highlighting the ones missing.
