Hello - I have two users set up the same way in BI Launchpad. One of them can only view their own instances of history (desired), while the other user can view all instances of history. I've check all I can for both users and the group security for the report(s), but haven't found a place showing why one user would be able to view all, while the other user only sees their own. Any Ideas?
Thank you, in advance.

Hi Laura,
Since you are using BOE I suggest logging into the Support site and create an incident and select BI-BIP-ADM for the component and work with an Engineer to see why the differences.
I also suggest upgrading to BOE 4.3, 4.1 is end of life now...

Thank you, Dell and John. The users have the same groups, other than one - and that one does not have access to the folder / report in question.
I've run several security reports on both of the users and the groups they are in (as well as the one they do not share). I didn't find anything that would resolve the issue. For the only group they have that has access to the folder / report, the group has (among all of the other security)
View document instances = Denied, while View Document Instances that the user owns = Granted
I'm not sure if it matters, but I we are on an older version of BI Launchpad -
BI Platform 4.1 Support Pack 7 / Version: 14.1.7.1853

Thank you, Dell and john. The two users have all of the same groups except one. And that one group does not have access to the folder / report in question. (again, I am using these two users for testing. I will update others once I figure out what is going on).
I've run security reports on the users and their groups and nothing popped up as questionable. The only group they both have that has access to the folder / report is set up as:
View Document Instances = Denied
View Document Instances that the user owns = Granted

The other thing to look at would be to make sure that the two users are members of only the same groups. I suspect that one might have a group membership that the other doesn't have. It might also be that one user has been directly given rights to either the reports or the folder that they're in outside of the group security.

Have you tried using the Security Query tool to look at their security?
You can see where they are inheriting permissions from using that tool. That can help you determine the differences.
