before-and-after-screenshots-of-move-from-hot-to-c.jpg
Hello,
I have a query in regards to the small amount of data left in the BW4 'HOT' DTO Tier after a move to the SAP IQ COLD Tier. In particular, and related to the screenshots attached, I’m interested in the 0.385MBs for all Partitions left in HOT after a data move to COLD.
What is this 0.385MB consist / made up of? What is its purpose?
I assume it is the SIDs or some sort of Pointer/Key to allow the data to move seemlessly between HOT and COLD as and when needed, and to identify if any records being loaded into HOT already exist in COLD.
I can't find any documentation/literature anywhere to explain what that residual data footprint is after a move from BW4 HOT to IQ COLD.
See the attached Screenshot that demonstrate my query. See "Hot Size[MB]" column.
Cheers,
Nick.
