Can you share your experience regarding a new implementation of S/4 and Group Reporting – whether you are going live with Group Reporting in parallel with FI or a few months later?
In past projects with BCS and BPC we have gone live a few months later allowing for one or more parallel runs with the existing consolidation system /Excel package to the new consolidation system. We were always able to defer which was best for both customer resourcing and system adaptation.
Looking at a situation where the existing consolidation system being replaced is more complex, and an interim interface from S/4 FI to it will be fairly complex.
If we go live in parallel – we would need to do traditional acceptance testing instead of parallel runs.
