Custom field enhancement in BP transaction

Hi SAP Gurus,

Please help me with below requirement.

Need to add 3 custom fields under default values for Material section under purchasing data tab in BP transaction. What is the best approach and any BADI's available and ping me the code where i can add my custom logic for updating the data in the custom fields.
