Excel Datasource not rendering data - SAP Analytics Cloud

Hello Colleagues,

The Dashboard has been built using Excel file directly uploaded as a data source (Without a model). Since today, have been facing an issue with excel uploaded data source in SAC dashboard.

Even after re-importing the data to the data source (Getting Successful upload message) the data is not visible and even the connected charts have a error message showing no data to render.

Importing the same data - with a new name/ new data source (excel file) the corresponding data is visible

Hi,

not so easy to troubleshot this without system access. I can only offer some advices:

1. Try to check if there was a change in the data and/or some filters are being applied.
2. If this is I bug, please open a ticket with SAP Support (please note that support team will probably require system access according to the guidelines they will provide to you. I don't think they will be able to reproduce the problem without your support) .
3. Using a model (instead of a data set): I would always recommend to use the model (a measure based model), especially when you have the need for data refresh. As you probably know you can also create scheduling+mapping, even for the flat files (being always uploaded into a file system and then automatically + regularly imported into the model. Additionally using a model gives you additional flexibility in your analytics scenarios...
