Looking to see how other companies are utilizing Hourly pay rates with a range for each job worked. These would be for a non-unionized environment. Our current structure used Pay Scale levels, but we are wondering if there are companies that have utilized Pay Grade and used ranges for hourly employees. For example, Machine operator 1 is the job worked and they would start at $18 an hour and then every 6 months go up $1 until they meet the max range of $23 an hour.
Would love to hear suggestions of what has worked for your company.
