PO with reference to contract,

Hi, we are trying to release PO with reference to the Contract, the system is picking material lead time and does not allow us to create a PO, as material lead time is going outside of the contract validity period, kindly let me know the setting in which I will direct the system to consider only the contract validity period rather that consider material lead time as a parameter to release PO.
