Is there a reason why the tiles in SAPUI5 are no longer completely greyed out?

I have an application with Generic Tiles that I recently updated to the new SAPUI5 version. It was previously in 1.85.0, now in 1.108.0.

Now I have seen that tiles that should not be activated are no longer completely greyed out.

Is there a reason why this approach was taken? In my opinion it makes no sense and only leads to confusion...

Is there any way to completely grey out the tile again? (Apart from downgrading the version)
