SAP Build Apps - BTP Destination not working

Dear experts,

I built an application before with AppGyver classic and integrated BTP destination pointing on S4 HANA Private system successfully. I also tried with SAP Build Apps with the same destination but it gave an error.

I used the same exact configuration for the destination.

Just want to know, is there anything changing for the destination part?

Thanks for any clue,

Best regards,

Alex

Hi beatrice.pasch,

I've dropped an email to buildapps@sap.com on my issues. I'm facing below error 404 when I add the BTP destination. The destination was able to consume from Business Application Studio which meant is configured correctly. Could you share which step that I've missed out?

Thanks.

Regards,

Ben

Hi,

I'm able to access onprem odata service now after adding property IsCatalog = true in the BTP Destination. Thanks to demir.burak from Build Apps Product Management response to my email.

Regards,

Ben

Hi axelpg , atsuserpr, alex.dong, monicaangyalosi;
I am very sorry, but this feature is still not available for SAP Build Apps.
You can only use the BTP destination for an onPrem system with SAP AppGyver Classic.
I will provide an update as soon as the feature is available.
Kind regards,
Bea (Product Management SAP Build Apps)

Hello beatrice.pasch :

Hope you are having a good day.

Just saw this updated link of "Feature Scope Description for SAP Build Apps". It is mentioned that we can consume data from on premise system. So can I assume that the issue is resolved?

Best Regards,

-Stanley

Hi Rufat

Yes, the issue is solved now, it was because of the lack of authorization.

Fortunately, after giving the necessary roles the error got resolved.

Hello Raghavi,

which additional roles were necessary to solve your probelm?
I have already assigned roles BuildAppsAdmin, BuildAppsDeveloper, RegistryAdmin and Registry Developer, as welll as Role Collection Connectivity and Destination Administrator, but still getting this error.

Hi all, same issue on my side. We want to implement SAP Build Apps with on premise backend S/4HANA.
beatrice.pasch do you got an estimate when this feature will be available?
Thank you!

Kind regards,

Hi all, meanwhile I found a SAPNote https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/3300760
Development is working on it. Workaround: use API management.

Kind regards,

Hi Beatrice,
As you stated before SAPBuild Apps onpremise support would be available for end of March / begin of April 2023.
Is this still on track? New estimate?

Kind Regards,

Jacco Raymakers.

Just created ticket to SAP and got the reply on premise destination has some issue and they are working on it.

Thanks and best regards,
