Batch split

Hi all,

We have this issue where we want to split a batch, depending on how much of the material has been used, and save it as the same batch number but with its own SLED. Is that at all possible?

e.g. i've got a batch of 10kg of sugar and i've only used 2kg from it. Each batch comes in as 2x5kg in separate 'containers' within the actual container that cannot be split at GR. The BBE is now different for the remaining 3kg as the product has been opened according to product specs. So effectively 5kg would have the original BBE and 3kg the new one.

thanks in advance!

Hi,

if your "remainder" has a different expiry date (and you want that difference to show) you have to create a new batch for that expiry date.

A batch (number) can only have one expiry date. As quite a few functionalities work with the expiry date it is usually important that the correct values are maintained for a batch / stock.

Best regards

Andreas
