AMI for BOE Backups

We are doing server backups using AWS weekly

Our BIAR File backups are stored on a drive on server. It is the same drive where our entire BOE is saved.

My manager wants to backup this drive everyday, so when needed we should be able to restore the drive and use the BIAR file needed if any single file is corrupted.

Since backing up this drive everyday consumes lot of space we are thing about using AMI to take snapshots and recover files needed.

Did anyone use AMI for the same purpose and recover?

The primary use case for Promotion Management is to promote 'developed' content from Development into Production in a controlled manner.

In general Promotion Management should not be used as the sole Backup Strategy for any Business Intelligence Platform.
