Product with different length and width...

Hello All,

Following is the scenario I'm facing.

My client is buying metal sheets as raw material and based on the order received they cut it into different sizes to make profiles.

Here variants are 1. Metal thickness 2.Length & Width of the profile.

Order comes with different length and Width.

Most of the times, the Length and width between the products have few Millimeters differences only.

Also, in each size the requirement will be 1 qty only, which means if I get an order of 100 quantity, 100 different sized product I need to produce.

In PP point of how can I handle this situation in BOM and other areas.

Hi Suresh,

Probably, Batch specific UOM and Selection condition(VC) in Batch characteristics will help you to configure this concept. Even I've faced the same issue on my previous customer and worked well.

seems to be a requirement for fabrication industry. Check the variable size item category I BOM.

I tried with variable size item but the constraint is, after production (Goods receipt) we could able to find out in which size we have what qty of stock.
