DVM - reorg and compression output analysis

Dear Community,

I am currently executing the analysis in DVM for table and index compression/reorg saving potential.

I get the results with 100% saving potential on index compression. SAP says that Oracle uses CBO to calculate these values?

any idea what index compression type is considered to achieve these compression potential results?

Thanks

Balaji

Hello balaji.srinivassingh

It should be CRA (Compression and Reorganization Analysis) as per User Guide (refer page 50).

Please check below links for more information

Thanks,

Vignesh

my question is about the logic followed by CRA itself. it shows 100% saving potential for few tables which is just unreal.

Debug program AGS_DVM_CRA_ANALYSIS_START if you want to analyse in depth.
